we were on our way........... part 2

We were on a mission to do a BACK TO SCHOOL story at the SHARON BAPTIST CHURCH
as I mentioned in my first post and the picturesque scenery on the way made me gasp and want to take photographs along the way........

AND as you can see , that is what we did...............

We stopped and took photos and I was particularly gravitated to the windows.. and the tiny houses
all around........

The Tiny houses that have BIG stories .....

and windows and doors that reflected the inhabitants of years gone by....

There were even tiny houses that had been moved from different locations to land in CUMBERLAND VIRGINIA

I imagined sitting on the swings but Sherry Told me that the one I liked the best was "ready for the dump" I searched online and found a similar one .....HERE...... but it was out of my price range for sure.....

AND THEN........... there was the tiny house on the hiill.......... the one with the cemetery right beside of it..... the one that if you look thru the window.... you may find an angel there............

the barn door was opened to reveal the light........... the light of the past .........

the past of SQUAIRE MERRITT SHUART.......

 HE ARRIVED FROM OHIO........... 1930

AND LIVED IN THE TINY HOUSE IN CUMBERLAND

THE PIECES OF THE PAST  WERE THROUGH THE HIDDEN DOOR.... put together in LOVE
by SHERRY........ who wanted to restore it to  best represent the hero he was

She carefully preserved what he was through his home, now his gravesite and the home in which he lived.....

REFLECTIONS  .............. from his time and place were lovingly shared with us.... by Sherry.......

Showing us the "pinetar" that was part of the collection, and also what cured her of asthma ... when she was a little girl. There is so much to learn from our neighbors, our friends, everyone has a story if you just stop along the way and take time to look....... and listen.......... and reflect........ you may  learn more than what meets the eye
