It was a fabulous dinner . Such a treat, home made egg rolls. ................
1 pack of large egg roll wrappers (bought at the fresh market $4)
1 lb of ground pork (reduced at Food Lion under $2)
1 bag of "cole slaw" mix by Fresh Express (bought with coupon/doubled @ Kroger)
Diced Bell Pepper (salvage grocery store 25cents)
Stalk of celery (diced)
Soy Sauce and/or other dipping sauces
Lightly Brown ground pork & seasoning...... saute in the onion, bell pepper and celery, when clear add the cole slaw mixture and heat until tender.
Spoon cooked mixture into egg roll wrappers one at a time being careful not to over fill as the wrappers will split if you do. gently place on plate and heat oil in frying pan. carefully add the filled egg roll to the pan and fry, turning one time until each egg roll is golden brown.
serve with your favorite Chinese dipping sauce. soy sauce, duck and/or hot mustard.
